No, Zora, There Is No Santa Claus, But Here’s the Good News!

Sorry that school and your friends misled you. You can also let go of the stable, the animals, the shepherds, angels, and the strange guys riding camels over a thousand miles to give gold, frankincense and myrrh to a baby. And wouldn’t the gold have been enough? Then Mary and Joseph could have bought their own incense, right, if they wanted some. The super big star? Well, maybe. That does happen from time to time.

But here’s something truly amazing. 400,000 babies are born every day! Maybe 900 in Palestine/Israel. All colors and shades, just like their parents. Each of them has the divine light within them and Jesus saw that as well as anyone, ever. He didn’t think he was unique (but some people do). He really loved children, but grown-ups too. Just like you.

We don’t need to bring babies incense or gold. But we should see they have enough to eat and a house to live in, don’t you think? Jesus asked everyone to help the people who didn’t have enough to eat and other things. That’s why you don’t get a ton of presents cuz your family saves money to give to those families who don’t have enough. You’re cool with that, right?

When you’ve grown up and finished school and become an actor, like you want, or something else, you’ll be able to help make sure all children are treated as holy, like you do most of the time with your little sister and brother. That’s really the way to go.

I hope you like the books I got you. See you on Christmas!
